The Vietnam Sustainability Forum aims at providing an international exchange platform for global leaders and stakeholders (policymakers, academics, businesses, entrepreneurs, and NGOs) to present and discuss worldwide initiatives, practices and visionary trends about sustainability. The ultimate goal is to achieve the long-lasting development of an inclusive and equitable society whereby prosperous growth goes together with a sustainable environment.
Following the success of the first edition (20+ international distinguished speakers and policy leaders, 400+ attendees), the VSF-2019 will devote special workshops for discussing the pathways and the implementation of Vietnam’s sustainability policies as well as put emphasis on the exchange of experiences and the policy coordination at international level.
The main theme of the VSF-2019 is “Fostering Economic Growth and Inclusive Society for Sustainable Development”.
The two-day forum includes an Academic Symposium (Day 1) and a Leadership and Policy Forum (Day 2).
DAY 1: ACADEMIC SYMPOSIUM
An academic symposium is organized on the first day with keynotes delivered by internationally distinguished experts and parallel sessions of research papers. Researchers and academics are invited to submit their full papers for presentation at the symposium. High-quality papers will be published in special issues of international journals after passing the review process.
We encourage submissions of research and policy-oriented papers on various topics related to sustainability, which include, but not limited to:
Education and Training Strategies for Sustainable Development (ETSD): Role of ETSD, education innovations, ESTD policy and governance in Vietnam
Climate change management and policy (food security, sustainable livelihoods, gender-responsive climate policy and action)
Sustainable environment
Industry 4.0 and human capital development
Social dimensions of climate change (equitable and sustainable societies, gender dimension, poverty and vulnerability, ethnicity).
DAY 2: LEADERSHIP AND POLICY FORUM
The leadership and policy forum will feature plenary keynotes and panel discussions by world-class leaders and speakers, within three dedicated workshops:
Workshop 1: Building Human Capital for Sustainable Economic Growth
